Early on, you'll probably just find them confusing and annoying, but later on such events are vital to keeping the game fresh and interesting. Is this a normal occurrence? What is the justification or possible rationale for such a mechanic? Why play as a kingdom at all? Instead, can I just be spawned as a random adventurer who gets a free army bigger than everyone else's and who can press claims at will with no prestige cost?
Of course he promptly curb stomps everyone. This army is apparently permanent, with no levy cost or attrition, and is bigger than everyone else's will be for, from what I can tell, decades of play. His army appears from thin air, peasants-turned-crack-troops flocking to his banner over night despite his having no major virtues or charisma. This new character gets to press claims before any other character in Ireland could. Busy building up prestige to press my first claim and.suddenly a neighboring courtier adventurer host army spawns that is much larger than the entire levied armed forces of every kingdom in Ireland including the entirety of the armed forces of the kingdom he came from.
